Father’s Day Shirt Card Craft for Kids

Looking for a Father’s Day card that kiddos can make? Check out this shirt and tie card. It requires folding, cutting, gluing and of course, writing! I plan to use this with my pre-school and early elementary school kids in my therapy sessions.

All you need is something to write with, paper, scissors, glue and sequins/buttons (or you can just draw them!)

Start by drawing a straight line about 3″ down from the top of the paper that will be the “shirt.”  Then, make an “M” shape at the top of the paper.

Next, cut out the “M” shape.

Then, trace the tie.  I will have a template to trace for kids that are able and others pre-drawn and ready to be cut out.

Glue the tie to the shirt.

Lastly, glue the “buttons” on the collar flaps.

** Tip: If you want the child to write on the back of the card, you should do that before you glue on the “buttons,” so you don’t have to wait for it to dry!

Have the child write, trace, copy, etc. their message on the back of the card. They could even draw a picture!

Little kid cards are my favorite!!
